Ningde
Prefecture Level City in Northeastern Fujian Province
Ningde is a prefecture level city situated in the northeastern of Fujian Province. This coastal city has border Zhejiang Province in the north, Nanping City in the west and Fuzhou in the south. Special geological structures, bizarre natural mountains and wonderful rivers makes Ningde as unique tourist destination.
Destination Spots
Mandarin Duck River is situated in northeastern part of Pingnan County, is a nature reserve for mandarin ducks and homeland of rhesus monkey. The river flows 18 kilometers long, which is surrounding by deep forest, peculiar stones, and clear water. Mandarin Duck River resort area has shape like a crescent moon, also known as "Holyland of the Lovers".
Designated as a provincial scenic area, Jiulongji Waterfalls is located in the southeast of Zhouning County. The waterfalls flows downhill in 300 meters course that form a spectacular nine stages, each of them have their own characteristic.
Taimu Mountain is situated in the border between Fuding City and Zhejiang Province, 45 kilometers from downtown. Taimu Mountain is a wonderful resort with exotic panorama, from the sea extends to the foot of the mountain. This mountain also called "Fairyland on the Sea", features granite peaks, caves, misty fogs, and ancient temples.
