Zhouning County
Zhouning County is a county of Fujian Province, China. It is under the administration of Ningde city. Zhouning, which lies in the northwest of Ningde, has a total land area of 1047 km². It has jurisdiction over 6 towns and 3 villages and a population of 190,000. The county was set up in 1934. The provincial highway-Xiapu Highway goes through the whole area. It abounds in hydroelectric power and the installed potential capacity is 450,000kw.
Tea is the staple and it is famous for good quality, rich taste, delicate fragrance and endurance. There are local specialties such as "Nine -Dragon" Jasmine Tea, wooden food steamers casting, drawn-works, wooden ball curtain, and "Taiji" silicon for industrial use, crystal and active carbon. There are also famous provincial scenic spots such as" Nine-Dragon" Waterfalls, Carp rivers and dripping rocks.
