Liancheng

Liancheng is a county in the municipal region of Longyan, bordering Changting and Shanghang counties to the west and south, and Sanming Municipality's Yong'an City and Qingliu County lie to the east and northeast.

Guangzhi Mountain lies in the east of Liancheng County, Fujian Province, which is 1.5 kilometres far from the county town and stands upright. The scenic areas cover 123 square kilometres in circumference. Its highest peak looks like a crown worn by an ancient judge(in Chinese, the crown is called Guangzhi).

The Guangzhi Mountain Scenic Spot was first developed in Song Dynasty. Some great names in history, such as Ji Xiaolan, Lin Zexu, Zhao Puchu and Luo Dang, left many inscriptions here, which present a splendid sight for the scenic spot.

The Yunlong Bridge is a spectacular covered bridge near Luofang in Liancheng County. It is over 300 years old and is in excellent condition. Just nearby there is a large statue of Mazu.

Peitian Historic Village was built during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It covers an area of over 70,000 square metres. The village was built by wealthy families so it contains many halls of learning and beautiful artwork.
